The March for Democracy is a citizen grassroots effort and depends on large numbers of dedicated volunteers. All of the sister marches, for example, are locally hosted, planned, and self-organized by local and regional volunteers, though of course with assistance from the national march organizers whenever needed.


The exact nature of each individual event depends on local circumstances, preferences, and volunteer and fundraising support. Some of the sister "marches" may not include a walking march at all and consist of only a stationary rally or be a type of fair or dedicated educational event. Even just having a democracy-related discussion group in your living room or favorite park or coffee shop is fine.


To register, please complete all of the fields to the left, incl. using the "Your answers" box to briefly address the following questions. We only will use your information within the context of the march:


QUESTIONS

HOW would you like to volunteer? For example: Doing whatever needs doing at a given moment in time OR more specifically: Playing a key role in organizing (hosting) a particular march location, incl. holding planning meetings; volunteer coordination; fundraising; community outreach; media outreach; social media outreach; organizational logistics; office work; infrastructure set-up; general support on day of march; clean-up and/or infrastructure take-down after march; being a local point of contact for ongoing post-march communications or other efforts.

WHEN would you like to volunteer? For example: During the entire time between now and whenever you will no longer be needed OR more specifically: Between X and Y dates; only on the event weekend (Fri 10/6, Sat 10/7, Sun 10/8); only on the day before the event (Fri 10/6); only on the day of the event (Sat 10/7); only on the day after the event (Sun 10/8); or on an ongoing basis as needed (e.g., being an admin for a march-related Facebook page).


HOW MANY HOURS can you commit to per week? For example:

1-5 hours, 5-10 hours, 10-15 hours, 15-20 hours per week.
